Marauders Win 2024 OLW Championship!

Squad completes a worst-to-first dream season!

PASADENA, MD- The Marauders finished off a dream season by sweeping the Freejacks in two games to win the 2024 Old Line Wiffle Championship. It was the first time the Marauders hoisted the Griffiths Cup.

Playoff MVP Hunter Crawford hit a home run and pitched a no-hitter in game 1, a 10-0 win capped off by a Brian Griffiths grand slam. Crawford pitched another complete game in the Marauders’ 2-1 series clincher in an extra inning game that saw Freejacks pitcher Brett Caladie throw a no-hitter in a losing effort.

The Marauders championship was an incredibly unexpected end to the season for a team that had a 3-24 record as a franchise in OLW’s first two seasons. The club had an OLW best 13-2 regular season record prior to entering the playoffs.

The club was powered by newcomers Crawford (.510/.638/1.333, 13 HR, 38 RBI; 7-1, 1.38 ERA, 7 CG, 4 SHO) and Derek Norris (.574/.657/1.537, 16 HR, 48 RBI; 2-1, 1 SV, 4.20 ERA)

The 2025 Old Line Wiffle season will start on March 8th. Registration information will be available this fall.
